Junior Network Engineer (Contract)

Contract Type: Contract/Freelance

Location: Brussels (Hybrid)

Languages: English (French desirable)

We are currently seeking a junior Network Engineer to work for our client that is in the Public Sector in Brussels.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of high availability Network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the users.
  • Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and identify Network related problems within the following domains: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi
  • Participate in team collaboration to share engineering efforts, technical challenges and breakthroughs
  • Work with vendors and team members to troubleshoot issues related to the operations (Problem management)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Networking technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability for effective communication (oral and written) to all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
  • Understanding of basics networking protocols (eg, HSRP, BGP, QoS).
  • Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
  • Wireless (Aruba),
