My client is seeking a Java API Developer for a 6-month contract position within their Financial Services business unit. This successful candidate will have a strong background in Java development, cloud platforms, and continuous integration practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust Java applications, focusing on high-volume and low-latency requirements for mission-critical systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java 8 and above, with extensive experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Restful services, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Utilise cloud platforms effectively, integrating continuous integration processes into the development life cycle.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, from initial concept through to final release.
- Manage Java and Java EE application development projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Ensure all designs and code are compliant with technical and business specifications.
- Prepare and produce software component releases, maintaining high standards of software quality within the team.
Key Skills:
