Technical Data Manager (Contract/Permanent)

Elevate your career in Technical Data Management with a pivotal role that places you at the heart of operational resilience and data governance for our clients who are a consultancy providing early career services to large companies.
Role Description and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data stakeholders to support and operationalise resilience frameworks and policies.
- Elevate data consumer awareness regarding data use principles and protection responsibilities.
- Drive the proactive identification of data risks and strategies for risk reduction.
- Identify and catalogue critical datasets for essential business services.
- Ensure the registration of crucial metadata into the firm's Data Catalog.
- Certify authoritative sources for data processing, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Perform quality assurance on data quality controls and register systemic issues.
- Establish monitoring for data transfer timeliness and completeness.
- Develop materials for governance committees, focusing on data management and quality KPIs.
- Facilitate data consumer communities in adopting effective data processes and controls.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in metadata management, data quality, and stewardship.
- Familiarity with structured and unstructured data models.
- Experience with web Servers (Apache, Nginx, MS-IIS) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Sybase) is beneficial.
- Programming skills in Python, PHP, or Javascript are desirable.
- Understanding of complex application workloads (ETL, ELT).
- Ability to create comprehensive functional and technical documentation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in operational and change management.
