Required for an initial six month hybrid contract, an IT Cloud Architect specializing in AWS and Azure to design, implement and manageand support of Technical Service Providers (TSP). You will be instrumental in crafting scalable, resilient, and cost-effective architectures that align with business objectives. This role demands deep proficiency in both AWS and Azure platforms, along with a strong understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
Responsibilities:
. Collaborate with external and internal teams to understand business requirements and design cloud architectures that meet their needs. This involves selecting appropriate AWS and Azure services, designing network configurations, and ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
. Leverage tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager to define infrastructure requirements in code, enabling automation, repeatability, and scalability of deployments.
. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that support telematics services for vehicles.
. Develop migration plans for transitioning on-premises workloads to the cloud, considering factors such as workload compatibility, data migration strategies, and minimizing downtime.
. Design solutions that ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities, utilizing features such as AWS Availability Zones, Azure Availability Sets, and disaster recovery services.
. Continuously optimize cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. This may involve monitoring resource utilization, implementing auto-scaling, and optimizing storage solutions.
. Implement security best practices and compliance standards within cloud architectures, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and adherence to industry-specific regulations.
. Provide technical guidance and support to TSPs and client teams, assisting with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and addressing technical challenges.
. Create comprehensive documentation, diagrams, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure smooth handover of cloud solutions to client teams..
Qualifications and skills:
. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
. In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, database, security, and management tools.
. Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, serverless computing, containers, and hybrid cloud.
. Proficiency in Scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
. Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker.
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (eg, Git), and agile development methodologies.
. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed cloud environment.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent industry certifications are preferred.
